Share with us the STORY of you painting to give context to the work and what it means to you! This can be a poem or a few paragraphs: Soulbird flew onto my canvas in the fall of 2020, in the midst of the pandemic and California fires. Her energy wanted to be big, strong, and full of hope from the first brush strokes. She carries the Earth in her heart, protecting and loving it and is guided by the moon’s feminine energy and intuition. The winding path that flows through her body invites trust. At the beginning of her journey, Soulbird was half tree, with deep roots drawing up nourishment while blessings sprinkled down from her wings like rain, holding healing prayers for the dry California land and an end to the fires. Then, she lifted off, carrying the Earth within her as if bringing me/us to a new level with new perspective and new possibilities. She carries many prayers for our planet, for peace, healing, love, strength, and courage to follow the heart. Every time I look at her, I'm inspired. Soulbird’s Message: And then one night, the wings she’d been knitting for years opened-- Wider and stronger than she ever imagined. A path she recognized as her own unfurled in front of her. She dropped her plans to the floor, ran to the edge of all she’d known, and leapt into the moonlight.

Share with us the STORY of you painting to give context to the work and what it means to you! This can be a poem or a few paragraphs: I have LOVED Ritual and this painting process. It has been so interesting and powerful to watch my inner life shift and evolve over the moons and to see this mirrored in the painting and vice versa. Here is a poem that shares the story. The Gaze In the sacred meadow where mountain meets ocean A portal opens to love Flowers whisper under the trees Mushrooms twirl in anticipation Branches stretch to get a better view Ancestors gather to hold the energy All is prepared for the gaze She steps forward breathing through her feet Her roots have grown with her confidence Feeling safe in herself, she carries the red flames of transformation And the inner riches found buried in a mysterious cave She revels in this discovery She is prepared for the gaze Her wild twin stepped forward moons ago Strong and passionate, embodied and powerful, he has eyes only for her Unconcerned with the wait, unattached to outcome, he knew she’d come In her own time, in her own way, in her own rhythm He holds the space for her becoming He is prepared for the gaze The Earth guardian emerges from Piscean depths She opened the portal that drew the twins together, Creating the possibility of their self-discovery, self-healing Her ancient wisdom leads the way, and now, with a smile, She gives the signal for the ritual to begin Owls descend Serpents rise Flowers and trees sing blessings The full moon blows a kiss In the joy of the meadow, the twins gaze at each other In love, in recognition, in devotion What once was unknown is now known What once was hidden is now revealed This gaze of self-love activates a new story that will change everything

This can be a poem or a few paragraphs: Follow your heart whisperings The path of your own longing is the path of earth’s longing You are one and the same As there is no separation between your body And the river, the ocean, the trees, the sand, the valley, the mountain Your time here, as you, or what you perceive as you, Is not as long as it once was, But you are the place holder, the gyspy leader For the present and for the future ones Who follow close behind, The ones to take up the mantle, the sacred prayer shawl To bring the wisdom of the four corners, The four elements, The four seasons, To live again in balance with this gift of earth As our ancestors once knew And more so, to behold the passing of the old The ushering in of new love That is moving across the waves now Making itself known in a hundred million little ways Sparkling diamonds that multiply With each jump of the dolphin Each forested ridge waking to morning light Each bird drifting and soaring on the air currents, Announce yourself! Your time is now.

This can be a poem or a few paragraphs: It was my first painting with Intentional Creativity and I thoroughly enjoyed it. She arose from the darkness of primordial waters and showed her form to me shyly. I painted her special markings of hearts afire and winged dragon and symbols she showed me. A poem she gave me follows: I rise up …… From the primordial darkness of the sea Shifting and changing, I learn, I lean in, ….Into form, Following swoop and curve of tides, I move, Forward through Timelessness, Touching places, Memories along the pathway, I am wave, I am light, I am braving Storms and I may Have thought I lost my way, but Then a light, A heart song, Sweet grandmother’s hand Strokes my hair Memory reminds me, Breathe dear one she whispered, Fresh green earth scent, Twinkling starlight, Humming bees, Birdsong awakens …… Feel me near, I am here ……

Share with us the STORY of you painting to give context to the work and what it means to you! This can be a poem or a few paragraphs: This painting started with an under painting of prayers and forms to honour the bodies of children who were found buried on the grounds of Kamloops Residential School located on Kamloops Indian Band land near Kamloops city. There are 214 prayer dots for the children who never made it home again from school. My eldest daughter works for Neskonlith Indian Band and is a Professor teaching Social Work at Thompson Rivers University. She was asked to be in attendance at the memorial ceremonies for truth and reconciliation at KIB pow-wow grounds & arbor. My best friend attended the school there graduating in the sixties. She would not speak of it. I lived in this area near Adams Lake Indian Band and Neskonlith Indian Band. I have twin grandsons who are Neskonlith band members. This painting shows the healer holding a turtle to represent the earth called often by First Nation peoples as Turtle Island. She wears a Flicker feather earring for protection and a lotus blossom necklace represents wholeness and healing. I named the painting Naked Truth because nothing is hidden as ALL hidden places are being revealed these days.

I got stuck on sooo many levels ! It was my fear of what came through that stood in the way of the process unfolding ~ my shamanic ancestor, a shaman from the Brazilian rainforest came to remind me of my task, my path, of Who I Am. This is her message : ~ She is smiling ~ I'm full of gratitude for the courage you've shown to paint me. To be in the intuitive, creative flow, something that amplifies / fortifies you as the Divine Being that you are. You see yourself as a Healer and an Artist, but you're so much more. You're a Woman, Creative, Wayshower, Teacher, Supporter, Catalyst, Student, Eternal Innocent Child. You Anchor light and love, supporting life and nature her on this beautiful Earth. Thank you Dear One, for your Love, Joy and Light. May you grace yourself with the same feeling of grace, of immense gratitude & infinite love and the deep sense of wonder that I feel for you. In infinite Love & Gratitude for you, sending abundance and infinite support for you, Shine your beautiful Light. In Love and filled with wonder and honor, Mo

This can be a poem or a few paragraphs: I am here to heal the sisterhood between Women: in particular between Black women and White women. Our relating yo one another is often divisive, antagonistic and toxic due to our shared history of the Trans-Atlsntic slave trade and the generations of trauma. This painting has came through as one of my purposes: to remind us all that we just ONE MOTHER, Mitochondrial Eve, and we ALL came from her. So...let's be sisters again.

Share with us the STORY of you painting to give context to the work and what it means to you! This can be a poem or a few paragraphs: It is widely known in indigenous lore that every women is born with a spirit animal. Not every woman has the ability or chooses to birth a human but she does have the ability to bring her spirit animal to life and form. You see, all women and humans are born many times and into many forms, but our spirit animal remains the same… The awakening to spirit is usually traumatic and spurred by events that break her heart open like an egg, releasing the inner wisdom and wildness into form. It is a birth that happens and an inner knowing that takes its first breath. When woman and spirit animal recognize one another the embriotic yolk spills onto their feet to create a new path together… Women who walk with spirit are usually spirit elders with many lives having already been lived. They are the seer’s, psychics and healers, they are the knowers and believers and wield a paintbrush and palette of armor. She is the roots of the trees that feed the earth and creates the air that we breathe. She is the protector of love and compassion or fire and wind. And in this story, she is the one that howls at the moon and calls the tides down to reveal the elements of the land… she is the moonwalker…

What Painting Class or Training is the artwork from?: Color of Woman Training "Talisman"
What year was this painted? : 2020
Share with us the STORY of you painting to give context to the work and what it means to you! This can be a poem or a few paragraphs: "Pusteblume" has changed me and my business and my life because during the painting process and because of it, I stepped fully into the identity of being a professional artist. Like a dandelion transforms from what we call in Germany "Lion Tooth" (when having the yellow flower petals) turns into this magical globe of feathery seeds that blow away with the breath of intention without knowing yet where they will and root to grow or vanish, I transformed from a businesswoman disconnect from my creative heart to an unstoppable effervescent well of newfound joy for love and myself. The image carries symbols of things and people close to my heart: The brain honoring my brilliant intellect, the palette and brush honoring my creativity, the guardian angel holding by two sons and protecting my paragliding husband, the necklace symbolizing the loving bond between my mother and me being a true replica of the necklace she bought me during our last shopping trip before her dementia took that possibility from us, starship Enterprise symbolizing my loving bond with my dad with whom I watched for years every Sunday snuggling on the sofa the TV series with the Vulcan Spock and Captain Kirk. The hummingbird honors the beauty of my personal paradise in Southern California. The 9 keys honor the steps of the Talisman process. The bees symbolize the abundance I choose to live in and my commitment to my work. The keys reflected in the eyes are carrying the message for the viewer: You are the key! And the dandelion flowers are the power of Intentional Creativity: I blow intentionally, yet then I let go of dominating the movement and allow to happen what wants to happen. I am my own Talisman. I'm Pusteblume.

What Painting Class or Training is the artwork from?: Artefact
What year was this painted? : 2020
Share with us the STORY of you painting to give context to the work and what it means to you! This can be a poem or a few paragraphs: The painting process of Artefact got me hooked forever to Intentional Creativity painting as my form of artistic self-expression, self-healing, self-discovery, self-design. Because of a very hot summer and the huge monster seize canvas literally filling out my tiny art studio I spend days and hours on end in a sauna overheated flow state and dace making dots or simple lines or tiny symbols with such focused intentionally that I felt as if I could sense my neuro-circuits rewiring itself in my brain. This painting was deep hard work. I literally went systematically year by year combing through my childhood unburying traumas, loss, hurt and self-limiting beliefs. I honored them, felt them, released them, and ritualized their evaporation from my field, while replacing the outdated pain-filled themes with new joy-filled ones. I had several moments of utter bliss, complete loss of sense of time, vast expansiveness into states of consciousness beyond words. I rewired my relationship to my beloved body, money, and time to just mention the three big ones. The pink hand you can see on the left was a historic moment of claiming and maybe for the first time in my life fully inhabiting my own body. How shall I explain that in words??? Artefact is a visual representation and tangible proof that I did what I did: A form of rebirthing beyond anything I thought is possible. This. Is. Who. I. Am. Period.

Share with us the STORY of you painting to give context to the work and what it means to you! This can be a poem or a few paragraphs: Held in the stars and protected by the deep waters, the ancient mother has traveled from the womb of the earth into the sky and back many times. She has slept in the pools of water left by the tears of women and soared through the heavens on dreams in the dark of the night. She is created in the image of the first woman, and holds the secrets of untold stories that women have kept in their hearts, hidden until tears washed away the veil and opened the portals. The symbol of the earth is held in her belly, protected by her amniotic fluids, as the moon travels with her each cycle. May we honor her journey through ours, weeping the tears that cleanse us, speaking the words of our stories, sharing the wisdom we have learned with each generation, burning new pathways of knowledge.
