The path of your own longing is the path of earth’s longing
You are one and the same
As there is no separation between your body
And the river, the ocean, the trees, the sand, the valley, the mountain
Your time here, as you, or what you perceive as you,
Is not as long as it once was,
But you are the place holder, the gyspy leader
For the present and for the future ones
Who follow close behind,
The ones to take up the mantle, the sacred prayer shawl
To bring the wisdom of the four corners,
The four elements,
The four seasons,
To live again in balance with this gift of earth
As our ancestors once knew
And more so, to behold the passing of the old
The ushering in of new love
That is moving across the waves now
Making itself known in a hundred million little ways
Sparkling diamonds that multiply
With each jump of the dolphin
Each forested ridge waking to morning light
Each bird drifting and soaring on the air currents,
