I went for a walk today
and didn't come back
I left way early
carrying as much of my stuff as I could fit
in my hands
including two leashes
and pages of words
I've saved for years.
I summoned
one
deep
breath
enough to lift a foot
then the other
and under a turquoise sky
I headed into blackness.
Felt like morning
I walked
till I reached the company of free
here
I will make a new home
just
for NOW
NOW
is more important than it's ever been.
Illuminated on Saturday was painted in discipleship to my inner child's imagination and our healing heart. I honor our untamed desire to remain curious while expanding wildly over land and sea.
