"Sit down," she ordered. Thrusting a leather quiver full of arrows into my hands she said, "Take these, you will need them."
The arrows appeared to be made of light. "But...but what of my six New Year intentions?" I asked.
"Oh," she said and touching them they grew, flowered and dried into pods within a moment. "Later," she dismissed them with a flick of her wrist.
Another seed pod, not one of my six burst opened and bloomed.
"Close your mouth," she said. "Know that beautiful and dangerous things will fly out of the night."
Gesturing to the green Luna moths that fluttered towards me. "Have you ever seen one of these?" she asked.
"Not in life." I replied.
"Do you know why?" she asked. "Once there was once a green worm with a black hook on its head. That worm ate tomatoes plants. They had done so for many ages, but you," she flicked her hand at me and the watching crowd, "decided to get rid of them."
"Enjoy your tomatoes," she said over her shoulder as she disappeared into the future.
