My Legendary Self

The mermaid represents my Legendary self and my place in between the cosmos above, the middle world and the other world below. Half woman and half fish, she represents the element of water yet she breaths the element of air and can be on the element of earth. She holds a magical paintbrush that has come alive with life, that she has breathed into awakening, so that she can paint what she knows is deep within her soul. She extends her paintbrush into the vastness of the cosmos, which continues back to her tail that holds the many brushes, which she loves so much. She holds the tree of life in her hands because it is her balance between the worlds and so much more. (Trees and nature mean a lot to her!) The salmon give her sacred direction and are part of her Celtic history, dna and story. The pearls she wears, represent the gifts of knowledge received in her life. The spiral in her centre represents her motherhood and honouring of the feminine. The arrow in the sky and the feathered amulet she wears as a necklace, represent the Red Tail Hawk, who remind her to discern with eyes wide open.
