Only a small part of this cacophony
in your precious mind
is you.
Truly you.
Not all those voices
are telling
YOU.
The truth.
So find a way
to hear them clearly,
the ugly
and the unreal,
and unfasten yourself
from the tethers
that make you
their captive animal.
Release yourself
from any thoughts
or ideas
that are not echoing
the beautiful
soulful
inspired story of
who YOU are.
This chance
at Life
this incarnation
is far too brief
to allow
the monsters
the invaders
to roam around
unruly
unchecked
gaining strength
from your avoidance
and compliance.
Tell them to leave the room!
Tell them now!
Un-invite them
forcefully,
and loudly enough
to convince yourself,
once and for all,
“THEY ARE NOT ME!”
Because after they have left
they will be gone.
And you
will be there.
Still.
There.
No voices to tend to
or contend with.
Quiet clarity.
A place from which
you can invite
what you want
to enter
with the keys
of hard-won truth.
And with mysterious,
righteous intuition
CHOOSE YOURSELF.
Assemble yourself.
Sit down at the table of your being
only
with what you love.
So move gently
into self-awareness,
emerge from the whirlwind.
Truly YOU.
